Brookstone

Vignelli Associates created this packaging program for the retail chain Brookstone using their own version of Bodoni “Our Bodoni” for the typeface and Pantone’s Super Warm Red otherwise known as “Vignelli Red” for the color. The packaging papers were like plain Kraft paper bags to have a “rugged, earthy texture, conveying the impression of recyclable materials.” They wanted to give it a feeling of “no nonsense products.” Although the packaging has changed and Vignelli red is no longer their color palette, this Our Bodoni logotype is still in use at Brookstone today.
