The Pilotta Palace, which hosts the Bodoni Museum (entrance through the Palatina Library), is situated in the old town centre of Parma, easily accessible:

From the railway station

• on foot (500 metres), down the via Verdi (walk the entire length of the street, then cross the Piazza della Pilotta) or down the viale Toschi until you reach Ponte Verdi (then turn left and walk through Pilotta’s archway)
• by bus no. 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 19 (more information on bus lines and timetables can be found on www.tep.pr.it);

From Motorway

• motorway A 15 Parma – La Spezia exit Parma Ovest
• motorway A1 Milano – Bologna exit Parma Centro

In both cases follow directions to the centre of Parma: Toschi car park (Parcheggio Toschi – paid underground car park, adjacent to Pilotta Palace)

From Giuseppe Verdi Airport

• follow directions to the centre of Parma: Toschi car park (Parcheggio Toschi –  paid underground car park, adjacent to Pilotta Palace)
• by taxi (Radio – taxi 0521-252562)
• by bus no. 6 as far as the railway station (Stazione Ferroviaria)

Park

Coaches are only allowed to park at the bus stop for the time necessary for the group to get off the coach; the bus stop is situated outside Pilotta Palace at 1 via Toschi; coaches must then proceed towards one of the following coach parks:

Free park and ride, also accessible to coaches

• near the toll booth of the A1 motorway
• in via Silvio Pellico, near the Palazzetto dello Sport and Panorama shopping centre
• in via Emilio Lepido, Ex-Salamini zone
• in via Emilia Ovest, Crocetta zone
• in via Langhirano, near the university campus roundabout
• in via Traversetolo, near the Esselunga supermarket

Paid secure car parks, inaccessible to coaches

• Parcheggio Goito, 1 via Goito, Parma (paid underground car park)
• Parcheggio Toschi, 2 via Toschi, Parma (paid underground car park)
